I'm Lissa. Rhymes with "Miss Ya," but I'll answer to "Lisa" or "Alyssa" too ;)
I laugh - a lot. I adore my sweet family. I love sunshine, podcasts, alfafa sprouts, picnics, and (as you can probably already tell) using lots of exclamation points... and ellipses. I wholeheartedly enjoy my geeky full-time job: coding software in the cloud and working to make business processes more efficient. Yes, I’m a geek... and proud of it!
My husband and I have two kids, a dog, a cat, and four chickens (Angelica, Eliza, Peggy, and Lady Gaga -- in case you were wondering) and in late-2013 we moved to Indianapolis from North Carolina, where we both grew up.
Photography allows me to express my artistic/creative side, while still being able to continue to learn and geek-out over the technical aspects.
My goal as a photographer is to capture genuine emotion. I don't want to just take photos OF you and your family... I want to capture memories and connections BETWEEN you and your family. The ordinary, candid moments and the expressions of happiness and love you share.
I would love to have the opportunity to help you preserve colorful memories so that years from now you can relive the feelings, love, cuddles, and giggles from this tiny sliver of time.
Full Sessions last anywhere from 45-60 minutes, allowing for more movement and candid shots.
Included with the session are all custom-edited high-resolution images (minimum 50).
Sessions are outdoor and begin about 1.5 hours before sunset for the most ideal light.
Mini Sessions are short & sweet 20 minute sessions. Don't let the time fool you: we can get a TON of great shots in this short amount of time. Included with the session fee are print rights for 8 custom-edited high-resolution images (additional images can be purchased from your gallery after the session).
Mini Sessions are scheduled back-to-back on specific days and dates are limited.
Whether it's capturing your newborn's first few hours after being born, your teenager's prom, or your wedding -- I'd LOVE to help you celebrate and hold onto those memories forever.
